Dependencies

DependencyRequiredWhy
hz_libYesThe panel's UI kit, theme and fonts. Free.
Framework (ESX / QBCore / QBox)NoNot used. HZ-Map runs the same on any of them, or none
DatabaseNoNone. Player choices are saved on their own machine
A Cayo Perico loaderNoOnly if you want players to walk on the island. HZ-Map draws it on the map

Steps

  1. Drop the hz_map folder into your resources directory, next to hz_lib.
  2. Add both to your server.cfg, hz_lib first:
ensure hz_lib
ensure hz_map
  1. Restart the server and reconnect.
One map resource at a time. Postal maps, satellite maps and other map recolours replace the same files as HZ-Map. Remove them, or the two will fight over the map.

What you should see

  • The radar shows the Atlas style straight away.
  • Open the pause map and go full screen: the places panel appears on the right, the area name top left and the scale bottom left.
  • At the bottom of the panel, Map style and Day / night let each player pick their look.

Updating

When you update HZ-Map, players must close FiveM completely before they reconnect. The game keeps the old pause map in memory until it is closed, so a simple reconnect can show a mix of the old and new map.

Lighter download

The styles you don't offer can be deleted, and players won't download them:
