FAQ

Does it work with ESX, QBCore and QBox?

Yes. HZ-Map doesn't use a framework at all, so it runs the same on ESX, QBCore, QBox or a standalone server.

Do I need hz_lib?

Yes. hz_lib is free and gives the places panel its UI kit, theme colours and fonts. Start it before HZ-Map. See Installation.

Can I keep my postal map or satellite map?

No. Only one resource can change the map at a time, and they all replace the same files. Remove the other one; HZ-Map's Addresses tab and street names cover most of what a postal map is used for.

Does it work with my HUD?

Yes. HUD resources change the radar's frame and gauges; HZ-Map changes the map drawn inside it. Both work together.

Does it work with HZ-PauseMenu?

Yes. The map card of HZ-PauseMenu opens the pause map, and the HZ-Map panel shows there as usual.

I use ScaleformUI. Anything to do?

ScaleformUI changes the same pause map screen. Start HZ-Map after it in your server.cfg.

Players still see the old map after an update.

The game keeps the pause map in memory until FiveM is closed. Ask them to close FiveM completely and reconnect.

Does it place a waypoint when I click a place?

No. The map centres on the place, nothing more. Drop your waypoint yourself with ENTER (or A on a gamepad) if you want the GPS.

Can players choose their own style?

Yes. Each player picks Atlas, Satellite or Native, and Auto, Day or Night, at the bottom of the places panel. Their pick is saved. You decide which styles are offered with Config.Themes.

Do I need a Cayo Perico script?

To show the island on the map, no: HZ-Map does it. To actually walk on it, you still need your usual Cayo loader. If you had a script that only showed Cayo on the map, remove it.

Is it heavy?

No. 0.00 ms while the map is closed, and about 0.05 ms with the pause map open.

Does it work on GTA V Enhanced?

Not yet. HZ-Map supports FiveM on GTA V Legacy.

Can I translate the panel?

Yes. English and French ship. Copy locales/en.lua to a new file, translate it and set Config.Locale. See Configuration.
